Prof. Dr. Jan Hoeijmakers leads a research group which studies the nutritional effects on genomic stability. The overall goal of the Hoeijmakers lab is to fully understand how accumulating DNA damage contributes to skin aging and to various age-related processes like stress-induced stem cell differentiation, cell death and cellular senescence.

Dr. Logarinho´s lab decipher mechanisms of mitotic dysfunction and aneuploidy contributing to aging and age-related diseases. Using trisomic amniocytes, she showed that aneuploidy per se induces chromosomal instability, generating genetic heterogeneity, that provide selective advantage under stressful conditions typically found in tumour microenvironment

Dr. Milagre is a stem cell biologist interested in understanding why pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) are prone to making mistakes during mitosis. Her research is focused towards understanding the control and regulation of the mitotic machinery in PSCs and trying to increase mitotic fidelity in these cells.

Dr. Horvath is a Professor in Human Genetics and Biostatistics at UCLA. He works in the intersection of biostatistics, bioinformatics, computational biology, cancer research, genetics, epidemiology, machine learning, and systems biology. His group applies these methods to study a broad spectrum of diseases, e.g. aging research, cancer, cardiovascular disease, HIV, Huntington's disease, neurodegenerative diseases.

Dr. Pedro Lima is the CEO and CSO of Sea4Us, SA and Invited Professor at Nova Medical School.
